Live In The Present Moment: The Art of Mindfulness

“If you are depressed, you are living in the past; if you are anxious, you are living in the future; if you are at peace, you are living in the present”, attributed to Lao-Tzu (c. 500 BCE). The idea is to avoid anxiety and depression by not getting caught up in our ‘ negative thoughts about the past or fears about the future’, but to keep our thoughts focused on ‘the present moment’.
